Abstract The CO 2 gas transfer velocity ( ) at air-sea interface is usually parameterized with the wind speed, but to a great extent defined by waves and wave breaking. To investigate direct relationship between waves, laboratory experiments are conducted in wind-wave flume. Three types of forced flume: modulational trains generated maker, 10-meter speed ranging from 4.5 m/s 15.5 m/s, (mechanically-generated) coupled superimposed force. height orbital found be well correlated while alone can not adequately describe . reconcile measurements, non-dimensional equations established which expressed as main function parameters an additional secondary factor account for influence wind.
